For more than 100 years Sprott-Shaw Community College has helped students acquire the skills needed for satisfying and productive employment. As the employment scene has changed - requiring new and more advanced skills - so Sprott-Shaw has adjusted its offerings to meet the needs of students and employers. The offering of a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree is one of the latest such advance.

As the requirements of the workplace become more demanding and complex, the need for more advanced education and training has become apparent. A research paper published by the Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada1 indicated that over a working lifetime a student coming into the workforce with a degree will earn on average $1 million more than his or her counterpart without a degree.

Our degree program is taught by well-qualified faculty, has been approved by the Provincial Degree Quality Assessment Board and is governed by an Academic Council including members with a great deal of university experience.

In addition, the BBA degree program continues Sprott-Shaw's tradition of small classes, individual attention to students, and a practical orientation which enables graduates to become immediately effective in the workplace. We can also give you credit for relevant courses already taken at other institutions Finally, we can guarantee access to all the courses you will need to complete your degree in a three to four year time frame. This constitutes a considerable reduction in the overall cost of obtaining your degree.
